Interested in singing with us?
Check out our FAQ below!
Do I need to be able to read music?
Knowing how to read music and sight-read isn't essential, but it is very helpful.
Are there membership age restrictions?
Members must be at least 16 years of age.
When do you rehearse?
We rehearse on Tuesday nights from 7:00 - 9:15 PM with one to two additional rehearsals as performances near.
What are auditions like?
Our director, Dr. Ortega, will meet with you privately before rehearsal and do some basic ear training tests (matching pitch and finding specific pitches within chords), a vocal range test for potential placement in the choir, and potentially sight-singing. You are also welcome to have a prepared song or excerpt to sing a cappella if you wish, but it is not required.
Will I need to pay/are there dues?
Yes, we do collect $45 per member per major concert (Spring, Patriotic, Fall & Christmas). However, one of our core values is that money should never stop someone who wants to sing with us. We waive dues for hardship situations and for students under college age.
When and where are auditions held?
Auditions are held most Tuesdays, 6:30 PM at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 1401 Cross Timbers Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75028. Enter through the entrance on the west side of the building that faces the playground and Luther Lane.
