Rock & Roll
With The Voices of Flower Mound
The Voices of Flower Mound will present a great selection of old rock and roll favorites for its fall concert on Saturday, October 14th. Selections by the Beatles and songs which have been made popular by artists like Ike and Tina Turner, Fleetwood Mac, Kansas, The Pretenders, Queen, and Chicago will be performed along with other familiar selections, such as “Old Time Rock and Roll”, “Aquarius”, “Under the Boardwalk” and “Nights in White Satin”.
The Voices of Flower Mound, a community chorus, directed by Dr. Arturo Ortega and accompanied by Elise Wattman, just celebrated its eleventh anniversary. In addition to its regular spring and fall concerts, the VFM joins forces annually with the Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church Chancel Choir and Flower Mound Symphony Orchestra to perform a Patriotic and a Christmas concert. The chorus has also participated in performances of Mozart’s “Requiem Mass” and Handel’s “Messiah” with the Flower Mound Symphony.
